We've all been famished at the airport gate, but sometimes there is not enough time to grab a bite to eat. But now, the app delivering foods to the gate is available for no extra charge at Chicago O’Hare, JFK, Minneapolis-St. Paul, and Sacramento International Airports.

HMSHost, which manages food service at more than 100 airports worldwide, brought smartphone technology to fliers looking for a bite to eat before boarding a flight or to take with them on the plane.

Participating restaurants are Chili’s Too!, Balducci’s Food Lovers Market, French Meadow Bakery & Café, Stefani’s Tuscany Café, and Stanley’s Blackhawks Lounge, and more.

A variety of lunch and dinner selection offers, for example, Southern Smokehouse Burger and Grilled Salmon Caesar salad from Chilis' Too.! or Ravioli Quattro Formaggi and Tuscany salad from Tuscany Café. Classics and favorites such as Esquire's famous Macaroni & Cheese are also available.
