According to the Huffington Post, the most expensive burger is comprised of a Japanese Waygu beef patty, infused with 10-herb white truffle butter and seasoned with Salish Alderwood smoked Pacific sea salt. That's not all though. On top of that beef patty is a cheddar cheese which was not only hand-made, but cave-aged for 18 months by James Montgomery, a famous cheesemaker in Somerset, England. On top of the hand-made cheddar lies black truffle shavings, fried quail egg, a blini, crème fraiche, Kaluga caviar, and of course for the "bun," a white-truffle buttered Campagna roll.

Serendipity 3 couldn't stop the "Le Burger Extravagant" there though. The final touch of the $295 burger is a solid gold "Fleur de Lis" toothpick designed by Euphoria New York, a world-renowned jeweler. If the solid gold toothpick isn't enough for you, it is also encrusted with diamonds.

Unveiled on Friday, the burger's steep price is actually going towards a good cause. According to the Daily Mail, all proceeds from "Le Burger Extravagant" will be donated to the Bowery Mission, "which serves the homeless and hungry."

Unlike a normal burger joint, a customer can't just walk in and order "Le Burger Extravagant." Those diners wanting to take a bite out of $295 must give the restaurant 48-hour notice, and if you do want to sink your teeth in, you better do it fast. The burger is reportedly only available on the menu for a limited time.

"Le Burger Extravagant" joins the ranks of "The Tri-Beef Burger," the 2006 creation by Old Homestead Steakhouse in Boca Raton, Florida. The "Tri-Beef Burger" cost diners $125, consisting of a mix between American Prime beef, Japanese Wagyu and Argentine beef. also lists the "Richard Nouveau Burger" and "Burger King's The Burger" as two other burgers in the triple digits. The "Richard Nouveau Burger," was sold for $175 at the Wall Street Burger Shop. Burger King's "The Burger" was only available at a West London branch of the fast food chain, but cost customers about $186 American dollars.
