His name is Damien Hirst, and he is the most prominent and influential member of a brash group of young British artists called the YBAs. The YBAs are most famous for using "shock tactics," wild-living, an attitude "both oppositional and entrepreneurial," and their marked use of throwaway materials.

And when you think throwaway materials, you think fast food.

We're kidding - a little - but we're trying to figure out why Damien Hirst would donate one of his most expensive paintings to Burger King.

Like with most modern art, it goes way over our heads. But the spin art painting titled "Beautiful Naked Psychedelic Gherkin Exploding Tomato Sauce All Over Your Face, Flame Grilled Painting 2003" will remain hanging until the end of the year in a London Burger King - the Leicester Square location, to be exact.

What makes this super crazy? Sotheby's valued this painting at somewhere between $233,000 and $622,000.

Talk about BK value.
