Even Sarah Palin Loves Chick-Fil-A's #HateChicken
It's been a little over a week since Chick-fil-A ignited a media firestorm after its CEO and frier-of-the-deep Dan Cathy announced that, when it came to certain allegations of supporting traditional, biblical marriage and denouncing marriage between two loving, consenting, and same-sex adults, he was "guilty as charged." And though many a celebrity has spoken out against the fried chicken giant for its attack on the little guy, prominent Republican politicians have been quick to defend (or uphold, as it were) Chick-fil-A's right to donate its millions of dollars to fund anti-gay groups. Moving beyond a hackneyed defense of Chick-fil-A and Dan Cathy's 1st Amendment right to Freedom of Speech (which no one has called into question, mind you), former Arkansas Governor and American Idol watcher Mike Huckabee announced that August 1st would be National Chick-fil-A Day.

Last Friday, Sarah Palin added her considerable voice to the debate on Chick-Fil-A. Posting to her Facebook that she "stopped by Chick-fil-A in The Woodlands to support a great business, the former pre-lame duck governor (her words, her self-assessment) of Alaska posted a picture of her and her husband from a visit to a Texas branch, holding up bags of Chick-fil-A and giving the photographer a big, toothy thumbs up. Since then, she has received well over 250,000 likes.
CNN kept Ms. Palin in the news shortly after, introducing a segment about her Facebook post with the song "Stupid Girls" by Pink. Since then, they network has apologized, stating that "the music selection was a poor choice and was not intended to be linked to any news story. We regret any perception that they were planned together."
Palin has not yet commented on CNN's apology, but will probably comment on something soon.
