Jamba Juice Gets Even Healthier

Jamba Juice is really rubbing its competition's fat face in it.

Recently, the juice and smoothie giant (and really, who thought there could ever be a juice and smoothie giant?) announced that they would be not just making good, but making even better on its "strong commitment to provide refreshing and great-tasting, better-for-you solutions" with an all-new roll-out of the Make It Light option. This option, which is available for Jamba's line of Classic smoothies in all of its stores, contains one-third fewer calories, sugar, and carbohydrates than the regular versions of the drink.

"We are excited to be in the business of providing a variety of convenient and delicious products to continue inspiring our customers to Live Fruitfully this summer," says Julie S. Washington, Senior Vice President and Chief Brand Officer of Jamba Juice Company.

And though we find the phrase "live fruitfully" just a little much, we can forgive the company for being a little ham-fisted here and there. After all, they've been making actually healthy, actually delicious fruit smoothies and juices for twenty years now, and as far as international food chains go, they're doing an excellent job. Soon they'll be appearing in more and more public school lunches nationwide, ensuring that children have a healthy and enticing vehicle for getting their fair share of fruit and vegetables.

But who says kids should have all the fun? For us adults who aren't as svelte as we used to be, dropping a few extra pounds just got a whole lot sweeter.
